MSA Tafsir Class

We read the Qur'an everyday but do we really understand what we are reading? Do we know the stories or meanings behind the ayahs? To learn the history, stories, meanings behind various surahs and ayahs, join us every Thursday at 8 pm on the 5th floor of the Union. Br. Abdul-Azeem will guide us through the tafsir of the last few surahs of the Qur'an, inshAllah.

 Abdul-Azeem graduated from UT, and has an 'ijaza in tajweed (Hafs 'an Asim).

MSA Halaqas

The main event of most weeks for the MSA. At these weekly group discussions, MSA members contribute their thoughts and feelings on different Islamic topics. Halaqas will also usually have a speaker to share their knowledge with us and moderate the discussion. Refreshments, such as cookies and milk, are served after each Halaqa. The halaqas during Ramadan include an iftaar as well.
