Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuhu

Saudi Arabia has announced that the moon of Dhul Hijjah has been sighted (10/27/2011), hence the 1st day of Dhul Hijjah will be on Friday, October 28, 2011. Accordingly, Eid-ul-Adha will be on Sunday, November 6, 2011. Please note that Islamic Center of Greater Austin follows global moon sighting.

What is Dialogue with Rabbi David Komerofsky

This event is the first part of an interactive lecture titled "What is Dialogue." There will be a discussion after the talk with a focus on brainstorming new ways to dialogue. Refreshments will be served at 6 PM. At 6:30 the talk will begin. At 7:00 there will be a discussion.

This part of the series is focused on the Jewish perspective with Rabbi David bringing his own flare and charm into the mix.

  • 10 Minute Quran Tafseer - Every Sunday through Thursday after Maghrib Sheikh Umer will explain the verses from the Quran and will start from the very beginning of the Quran.
  • Tajweed Class - Learn under the instruction of Sheikh Umer every Monday after 8:15 PM
